L.A. ZOO PARTNERS WITH LADWP AND ADOPT A CHARGER, INC. TO PROVIDE SEVEN FREE PUBLIC ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGING STATIONS IN L.A. ZOO’S PARKING LOT
Media Invited to the Public Unveiling of EV Charging Stations – Wednesday, Nov. 4
The Los Angeles Zoo, in partnership with the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) and non-profit organization Adopt a Charger, Inc., is excited to announce the installation of one DC (Direct Current) Fast Charger and six Level 2 Electric Vehicle (EV) charging stations in a section of the Zoo’s public parking lot. The project, which began in May 2015 and was completed on October 29, 2015, hopes to promote sustainability and improved air quality while addressing the need for additional public EV charging stations throughout the City of Los Angeles.
