Community Charging

Thank you Mayor Jaeger! Great downtown with bakery, restaurants, shops, but wife's shopping made it an expensive stop! However, she got a fine original painting and some wonderful baked goods.
Adopt a Charger excels at delivering community charging. We enable EV charging in small towns, remote rural areas, and emerging markets where awareness of electric vehicles is still limited. In states like Arkansas, Mississippi, Louisiana, Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana, having visible representation is essential. These regions often lack state incentives for EV adoption and frequently impose higher vehicle registration costs.
There is no business case for building charging stations in emerging markets and EV deserts. Usage is often too low to justify the upfront capital investment or to cover ongoing O&M costs—leaving communities without access and slowing adoption.
I never question whether Adopt a Charger is making a difference. EV registrations in Arkansas surpassed 60,000 in the first half of 2025, a 24.3% increase over the same period in 2024. Growth is accelerating, with the state exceeding 50,000 registrations in 2024 alone — a 61.57% jump from 2023. With no federal, state, or local funding available for community Level 2 charging, we depend on your donations to continue creating — and celebrating — success stories like these.
Community Charging enables vehicle purchases by residents, but is also a economic development opportunity for small towns. They are attracting a new clientele to stop, shop and dine while charging. EV charging stations are the perfect amenity to revitalize main street USA.
